SATURDAY WORK PROGRAM
When a student has been assigned to detention and it has failed to correct the problem, they may be assigned to Saturday Work Program. This program is held Saturday mornings from 8:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.. Parents will be notified in advance as to the date a student is to attend Saturday Work Program. All forms must be turned in to the discipline office before school or the consequence will be doubled. It will be the responsibility of the parent of each student assigned to Saturday Work Program to make arrangements for their child's transportation.
Students assigned to Saturday Work Program must adhere to the following rules:
1. The student must attend on the day he/she has been assigned.
2. Any student not at school by 8:15 a.m. for Saturday Work Program will be considered absent and sent home. We really mean 8:15. If you arrive at 8:16, it is too late and your student will be sent home. The student must be picked up no later than 12:00. If he is not picked up by 12:00, an additional consequence will be assigned to the student.
3. No one will be released from Saturday Work Program without permission.
4. Failure to attend Saturday Work Program may result in reassignment, doubling the time, and/or further disciplinary action.
5. Students must dress according to the MacArthur Dress Code while attending Saturday Work Program.
6. Students must follow the directions of the MacArthur staff.
